My career mission is to bring together people and collections to facilitate new and exciting conversations. I am interested the use of museum collections for inspiration in creative practice, as well as by historians. I'm always more interested in objects+people, rather than just objects.
I'm London-based and available for freelance projects involving museum collections, teaching, researching and writing.
Contact me and let's have a conversation.
I'm interested in the history of the design of everyday domestic spaces, and in consumer choices in domestic furnishings including wallpaper.
For me, curating means developing projects that bring together people and collections to creative exciting conversations, and I've done this in a variety of ways.
My professional curatorial and exhibition experience has been developed in the context of a UK Higher Education institution. I've lectured to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and to general audiences at the V&A, the Design Museum and elsewhere.
My publications include a short book about wallpaper for Shire publications, and an edited volume of essays entitled Design, History and Time: new temporalities in a Digital Age with Anne Massey.
